Bollywood and TV actor Vindu Dara Singh was arrested in Mumbai on Tuesday for his alleged connection with the bookies involved in the Indian Premier League (IPL) spot-fixing racket.According to police sources, the winner of the third season of popular TV reality show Bigg Boss has been arrested under the Prevention of Gambling Act as he had allegedly provided logistical support to bookies.
The police said that the 49-year-old son of late wrestler-turned-actor Dara Singh was in touch with at least two bookies -- Pawan in Jaipur and Jupiter -- active during the ongoing sixth season of IPL.
Vindu has also done some hit films, including Son of Sardaar, Himmatwala and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya.
